Hi, I’m Alexandra! I started writing for The Rye Crop when I was in 9th grade, and this is my third year serving as editor-in-chief. I love writing and journalism, and The Crop is an excellent way for me to combine my passion for literature with my interest in the school’s inner workings.

Lily Leand

Hi, I’m Lily! I have been a part of The Rye Crop since 9th grade, where I started as a writer, then transferred to Layout Editor, and eventually became an Editor-in-Chief. The Crop has given me so many incredible opportunities to express my creativity! Outside of the paper, you can often find me working on a theater production, playing tennis, or hanging out with friends!

Izzy Bernie

Hi, I’m Izzy! I began writing for The Rye Crop since my freshman year, and have served as a staff writer, Managing Editor, and currently as Editor-In-Chief. I enjoy that The Crop gives me an opportunity to learn more about the RCDS community and share the stories of people within it. When I am not working on the newspaper, I enjoy rowing with my team, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Sadie Kolodner

Hi, I’m Sadie! This is my third year writing for The Rye Crop, where I’ve enjoyed learning more about our community through interviews and writing articles. I currently serve as Managing Editor/Director, acting as a liaison between editors and writers of the newspaper. Outside of The Crop, I enjoy playing squash, playing viola and spending time with my friends and family.

Olivia Prather

Hi, I’m Olivia! I’m a sophomore, and this is my second year writing for The Rye Crop. I have learned so much about journalism and our community through the opportunities that come with the newspaper. I currently serve as Layout & Design Editor with Georgina Murphy, and when I’m not working I’m at dance practice, baking, or spending time with friends and family!

Georgina Murphy

Hello, I’m Georgina!  I am a junior.  This is my third year writing for the Rye Crop, and I started in 9th grade as a writer, and in 10th grade I was the Photography editor.  This year, I will be serving as the Layout and Design Editor.  Outside of school and Crop, I love to read, play squash, practice my guitar, sing and, of course, spend time with my family!

Hi, I’m Lila! I am a junior and have been part of the Rye Crop since freshman year. I am the co-editor of Campus Life. Crop has allowed me  to learn so many different things about our school, through interviews or reading articles. Aside from Crop, I love to play tennis, hangout with my friends and read any Agatha Christie book. 

Kayla Rosen

Hi, I’m Kayla! This is my third year writing for the Rye Crop, and I am a co-editor of Campus Life. Being part of Crop has given me the opportunity to explore my interests through writing and become more involved in the RCDS community. I love playing soccer, pole vaulting, traveling, and hanging out with friends!

Hi, I’m Camila! I am a senior and have been a part of the Rye Crop for 3 years. I am currently the co-editor of the School News section. Being part of the Rye Crop has helped me learn how to write articles and has given me the opportunity to learn more about RCDS. I love to spend time with my family and eat ice cream!

Olivia Pierry

Hi, I’m Olivia! I’ve been writing for The Rye Crop since 9th grade, and I’m now a School News Editor. I love writing for the paper because it allows me to interact and connect with people who all share unique perspectives and stories. Apart from writing, I love to bake, play volleyball and tennis, and spend time with friends and family.

Hi, I’m Makayla! I’ve been writing for The Rye Crop since freshman year, and am now serving as the school events editor. I enjoy writing for Crop because it allows me to connect with the community and have a better understanding of the events going on at school. Outside of writing for Crop, I like to dance, read, and spend time with my family.

Hi, I’m Helena! This is my second year writing for The Crop and my first year serving as a school events editor. I originally joined The Crop because I saw it as an opportunity to learn more about the RCDS community and meet new people. Outside of the newspaper, I enjoy playing volleyball, reading, spending time with my friends, and watching and creating movies.
