Mia Herz
Hi, I’m Mia! I have been involved in The Rye Crop since I started RCDS in 9th grade, and I now serve as one of the editors-in-chief. Throughout my time working for the paper, I have loved interviewing different students and faculty to learn more about school issues that are important to me. When I am not working on the paper, you’ll find me playing field hockey, baking, or spending time with family and friends.

Alexandra Steyn
Hi, I’m Alexandra! I started writing for The Rye Crop when I was in 9th grade, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I serve as one of the editors-in-chief, so you’ll probably see me typing comments on articles or celebrating over a new edition. I love writing and journalism, and The Crop is an excellent way for me to combine my passion for literature with my interest in the school’s inner workings.

Lily Leand
Hi, I’m Lily! I have been a part of The Rye Crop since 9th grade, where I started as a writer, then transferred to layout editor, and eventually became an editor-in-chief. The Crop has given me so many incredible opportunities to express my creativity! Outside of the paper, you can often find me working on a theater production, playing tennis, or hanging out with friends!

Izzy Bernie
Hi, I’m Izzy! I began writing for The Rye Crop my freshman year to pursue a budding interest in journalism. Now a tenth-grader, I serve as the managing editor of the newspaper, acting as a liaison among all Crop staff while continuing to improve my writing and report on topics important to me. When I am not working on the paper, I am on the water rowing with my competitive crew team or spending time with family and friends!

Molly Hart
Hi, I’m Molly! I’ve been writing for The Rye Crop since my sophomore year and am now a layout and design editor with Sadie. Outside of the paper you can find me spending time with my friends, playing softball, or in a drama production.

Sadie Kolodner
Hi, I’m Sadie! This is my second year writing for The Rye Crop, where I have enjoyed getting to know members of our community through interviews and writing articles. I am now the layout and design director with Molly Hart, and I look forward to getting to design every issue.

Camila Reyna
Hi, I’m Camila! I have been working with The Rye Crop since 9th grade, and right now I am the Features editor. Being a writer and editor for The Crop has helped me learn about the RCDS community. I like to listen to music and spend time with my family!

Sophia Shen
Hi, I’m Sophia! I have been a part of The Rye Crop since freshman year, and now serve as Managing Editor. Writing for The Crop has allowed me to connect with more people in interviews and learn more about various aspects of the school. When I’m not writing for The Crop, you can find me swimming and spending time with friends!

Tia Agarwal
Hi, I’m Tia! I’ve been with The Rye Crop since 10th grade, when I first interviewed the musical’s student-directors. Now as the Events Editor, I love sharing the stories that bring our community to life. Outside the paper, I’m usually at the piano, or making my friends laugh with wild stories!

Chiara Perkins
Hi, I’m Chiara! I started writing for The Rye Crop in 9th grade, and now I serve as the Arts/Campus Life Editor. I have a growing interest in journalism and love using writing to explore the creativity across our community. When I’m not writing or editing, you can find me singing or playing piano.

Zara Khemlani
Hi, I’m Zara! I have been a part of The Rye Crop since 9th grade. For all three of these years I have been a writer for the paper, and this is my second year taking on the role of site manager. The Crop has been a great way for me to fuse my interests of technology, literature, art, and athletics and I love being a part of the program!

Hi, I’m Daphné! This is my 3rd year writing for The Rye Crop and I am the website editor. I love interviewing members of our community and learning about new events. The Rye Crop has been a great way to fuse my passion for STEM and writing. When I’m not writing or updating the website, I love to spend time with my friends and my family.

Georgina Murphy
Hello, I am Georgina! I am in 10th grade, and this is my second year on The Rye Crop, where I serve as the Photography Editor. I have truly enjoyed writing and taking photos for The Rye Crop as it gives me an opportunity to learn more about and be engaged within the community. Outside of the paper, I love to sing, play the guitar, and play squash.

Lillian Pereira
Hi! I’m Lillian! I have been writing for The Rye Crop for three amazing years! I am the Head of Distribution and Advertising, meaning I make sure that as much as the student body picks up a copy of the monthly Crop as possible, as well as running our Instagram account! (follow @ryecrop). When I’m not hauling around the newspaper like a newsboy, I love hanging out with my friends, my family, and my dog.
