Each year, the Athletics Department at RCDS hosts the Fall Sports Awards, recognizing varsity athletes for their incredible accomplishments and dedication throughout the fall season. On Thursday, November 13th, athletes were honored with awards including All-League Honors, Coaches Awards, Wildcat Awards, and more. Several teams, including Cross Country, Field Hockey, Football, Soccer, and Volleyball celebrated during the evening with students, families, and coaches gathering to reflect on another successful season together.

The night also marked a milestone for Coach Summers, the Assistant Director of Athletics and RCDS Field Hockey Coach, who celebrated her 300th career win during the award ceremony. “I love seeing all the fall athletes, parents, and coaches come together to celebrate the season,” Coach Summers shared. “It’s a wonderful evening and the feeling in the PAC is one of excitement and pride.”

This year, RCDS’ spirit representatives, Clare Keating ‘26 and Richie Morrow ‘26 earned the Athletic Spirit Award, celebrating their efforts to engage the school community and increase morale at athletic events. Keating shared that her goal as a spirit representative is “for the whole school to become more involved and engaged in our sports teams and general accomplishments throughout the school. I love seeing people excited for a big game coming up and it’s a great feeling when that team is your own.” Although Keating is a senior, she hopes that the future of athletics at RCDS includes students becoming “more and more invested in the successes of our sports teams and [showing] up to support each other as often as they can.”

Cross Country had a particularly successful 2025 season, with Emily Hau ‘29 earning FAA All-League First Team Honors, the Wildcat Award, and qualifying for NYS Federation Championships. Selena Zhang ‘26 received the Coaches Award, marking the end of a successful high school career. Additionally, Alexandra Lynch ‘27 received a FAA Honorable Mention, and was named one of the 2026 season captains, along with Willow Lane ‘28.

On the boys’ side, Marshall Brown ‘28 earned FAA All-League First Team Honors and qualified for the NYS Federation Championships.
