With the upcoming book fair this month, many students around the school are excited for its return. Students have shared that  they look forward to the food, shopping, and excellent variety of books. Last year, Mackenzie Kearns ‘29 loved the food, especially the popcorn chicken and brownies. Many other students have also mentioned that they loved the delicious food and it was one of their favorite parts of the fair. They are awaiting its return this year. Camilla Mason ‘29 enjoys the book fair as an opportunity to buy gifts for her friends and family this year. She said, “Last year, I loved the book fair because I was able to buy holiday gifts for family and friends.” She recommends purchasing gifts from the jewelry and clothing stands. Charlotte Kearlan ‘29 and Grace Feng ‘29 described the fair as a fun place to hangout with friends and take a break from schoolwork. Kearlan said, “The book fair is like a mind break from all the school work.” Additionally they are excited to explore many genres of books. After the shared appreciation of last year’s book fair, students are thrilled for its return and can not wait to see what this year has got to offer.

Every year, the book fair not only has interesting books and delicious snacks, but it also has an extensive selection of interesting stands for students to keep an eye on. Many students like to buy gifts for themselves, as well as for their family and friends to celebrate the holidays. Whether you are looking for personalized accessories, comfortable pajamas, or challah bread, the stands at the book fair always have many options to choose from. One highlight stand is S.O.S Candy, which will be providing fun assortments of tasty gummy candy. Another exciting stand is Auburn Jewelry, which is offering personalized, permanent jewelry. Auburn Jewelry is offering customizable bracelets, necklaces, and anklets for students, which are perfect for those who are interested in getting a beautiful piece of jewelry. Other exciting stands include Green Wood Flowers, which is selling corsages and boutonnieres, Royal, which is selling stylish clothes, and the Challah Fairy, which will be taking preorders for challah and sourdough pizza to celebrate the upcoming holidays. The book fair also consists of exciting events such as a performance by the WildScats and a Sip and Shop for parents. In general, the Holiday Boutique and Book Fair is an exciting event that gets people in the holiday spirit, lets them explore and read new books, and serves as the perfect opportunity to buy presents for family and friends.
