An exciting and eventful season is about to begin for Boys Varsity Basketball (BVB), and anticipation is running high as the boys prepare to perform off and on the court. 

The team has 8 returning players this season, including 4 seniors who have proven their strengths in the past. Even though the team is mostly composed of younger students, Captain Johnny Gasparro ‘25 states that they expect a “bounce-back year from last year,” as the boys did not perform as well as they wanted to last season. They finished below a 50% winning percentage which, even though the team saw some major success, was below their expectations. However, the team still saw a steady improvement during last season. This season, BVB hopes to build on this previous success and further improve to show their strength during games.  

Captain Gasparro declared that they “expect to have a winning record” this year, showcasing their determination as they will work even harder to succeed on the court. With teamwork, determination, and discipline, the team will certainly excel. Their hard work and perseverance will pay off if the team is able to make the FAA playoffs. 

The determination and high expectations of the team this year will lead to intense competitions. The countdown has begun and this season promises to be exciting!
