The Boys Football team is looking for redemption in hopes of scoring big this season. Last season, Henry Cohen ‘23 led the team to a finals appearance against Poly Prep, losing 42-7. This year will be a fresh start with new quarterback and Captain Luca Strazzini 24’, along with the other established captains Trey Stevens ‘24, Nick Vlasto ‘24, Cole Denson ‘24 and Barrett Pennington ‘24. The impressive roster has put Denson, Stevens, Strazzini, and Pennington on Lohuds watch list.

The team has already been ranked the top prospect by the other coaches in the The Metropolitan Independent Football League (MIFL) conference. Denson says pre-season has brought on a lot of excitement and looks forward to the upperclassmen leadership. “We have a group of 13 seniors on a 20 man team. A lot of guys are going out there for their last time and giving it their all in the sport they love. We have high expectations for this year and can’t wait to bring a championship home.”
